Wie jarig is, trakteert! So I do. Afgelopen zaterdag werd ik 24 jaar. Weer een jaar ouder, weer een jaar wijzer (alhoewel…), maar vooral: weer een jaar Frankrijk! Eind april vertrek ik naar Aix-en-Provence, waar ik vijf weken in een gastgezin zal wonen. Weer een nieuwe ervaring rijker. En hopelijk brengt dit 24e levensjaar me nog veel meer mooie Franse momenten!
D’accord: ik trakteer. Wat dan? Een jaarabonnement op het grootste Frankrijk-magazine van Nederland: Leven in Frankrijk! Ik ben trouw lezer van het blad, dat altijd vol staat met goede tips. Before I end my post today, I want to take a minute and share a quick message of love and hope for all of us still stunned by the tragic events that took place last Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School. It really is hard to continue on as usual when there is still so much hurt going on in our country. I talked about it on my own site yesterday, and I just wanted to share a little here too. I too am still in shock. I cry every time I see a flag at half mast, it just heartbreaking. As mother we all share the same love for our children, and my heart goes out to the families who lost their loved ones last week. We are all in this together. Love will always win.
